FEBRUARY 1971 Harvey L. Hall announces the opening of Hall Ambulance Service
 

MARCH 1975

HALL initiates service to the Arvin area.

MAY 1975

HALL launches first mobile intensive care paramedic services in Kern County.

 

JUNE 1975

HALL offers first Kern County non-emergency wheelchair transportation services.

 

JUNE 1976

HALL initiates services to the Lamont area.

AUGUST 1976

HALL initiates service to Frazier Park.

OCTOBER 1979

HALL initiates service to the Tehachapi area.

 

JULY 1980

HALL initiates service to Bear Valley Springs.

 

SEPTEMBER 1980

HALL implements a community EMS education program for Bakersfield residents.

JULY 1984

HALL deploys Kern County’s first two (2) private provider field supervisor units.

JULY 1985

HALL deploys Kern County’s first private mobile medical communications unit.

 

FEBRUARY 1987

HALL implements basic life support (CPR) training, training 2000 citizens annually.

 

JUNE 1990

HALL is selected as one of the top three (3) national ALS providers by NAEMT.

JUNE 1991

HALL is chosen U.S. Paramedic EMS Service of the Year by NAEMT and AAOS.

 

MARCH 1992

HALL launches 24-hour medi-van service.

 

MARCH 1992

HALL deploys a custom unit for patients with special disabilities

 

JULY 1992

HALL opens a state-of-the-art computer-aided communications center.

 

1993-1995

HALL maintains all daily operations of Wilson Ambulance in Palmdale.

 

JANUARY 1994

HALL initiates service to Mojave, California City, Rosamond and Boron.

 

JUNE 1994

HALL agrees to staff, maintain and equip the Muroc Hospital District ambulance.

 

MARCH 1995

HALL purchases Taft Ambulance and takes over the Taft service area.

SEPTEMBER 1997

HALL implements Kern County’s first ALS Paramedic Bike Patrol.

 

MAY 1998

HALL establishes Harvey L. Hall/Hall Ambulance Medical Scholarship Program.

 

MARCH 1999

HALL acquires Schaefer’s Shafter Ambulance and takes over Shafter service area.

 

MARCH 1999

HALL donates fifteen AEDs to the Kern County Fire Department’s rural stations.

 

JULY 1999

HALL acquires Golden Empire Ambulance, becoming Bakersfield’s sole amb.  provider.

 

MAY 2000

HALL installs GPS automatic vehicle locators in company ambulances.

 

AUGUST 2001

HALL creates EMT Academy, a model of business/government working in unison.

 

DECEMBER 2001

HALL launches helicopter service with the founding of Hall Air Ambulance Service.

 

APRIL 2002

HALL donates ambulance and vehicles to cities in Mexico.

 

MAY 2002

HALL receives Kern Press Club Award of Excellence for WHALE PSA.

JULY 2002

HALL receives California Ambulance Assoc. Fellowship Award for 9/11 Project.

 

DECEMBER 2002

HALL installs black box data recorders in company ambulances.

 

SEPTEMBER 2003

HALL AIR upgrades helicopter to Bell 222 for improved patient care.

 

APRIL 2004

HALL begins using pocket PC, improving field data collection.

JULY 2004

HALL receives a “perfect score” and full accreditation from CAAS.

APRIL 2005

HALL installs GPS automatic vehicle located to ambulances in Eastern Kern County.

 

MAY 2006

HALL unveils two 4x4 ambulances for rural mountain communities.

 

MARCH 2007

Fifteen HALL employees honored as Stars of Life by California Ambulance Association.

  MAY 2007 Hall Air upgrades helicopter to Bell 408 with the familiar orange, white and blue paint scheme.
 

SEPTEMBER 2007

HALL opens second ambulance station in the Golden Hills area of Tehachapi

HALL receives a “perfect score” and re-accreditation from CAAS.
