CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT NURSE
Candidate must be able to: handle high volume of emergency responses with tact, good judgment, and professionalism; handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure; comprehend, memorize and retain written and oral information effectively (procedure manuals, EMS regulations, charts & maps).  Position requires current California RN license.  Successful candidate must possess or commit to obtain prior to completion of training ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC or TNATC.  CFRN, CEN, CCRN, and CCEMTP preferred.

CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT PARAMEDIC
Candidate must be able to: handle high volume of emergency responses with tact, good judgment, and professionalism; handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure; comprehend, memorize and retain written and oral information effectively (procedure manuals, EMS regulations, charts & maps).  Position requires appropriate Paramedic certifications with 3 years experience in a 911 system.  Successful candidate must possess or commit to obtain prior to completion of training ACLS, BTLS, PALS and NRP, Kern County Paramedic Accreditation.  CCEMT-P or FP-C preferred.

PARAMEDIC
Provide basic to advanced emergency rescue and paramedical care to the ill and injured in pre-hospital setting.  Guide and support EMTs and/or students in the application of appropriate EMS techniques.  Performs direct injury/illness assessment and management, preparation for transport, transfer of information and patient care.  Operate equipment such as EKGs, external defibrillators and bag-valve mask resuscitators in advanced life-support environments.  Prepare patients for transport, ensuring compliance with emergency medical transport regulations, protocol, and procedures.  Base pay $32,190 - $49,873 DOE.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT)
Drive ALS or BLS ambulance fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical and communication equipment.  Assist Paramedic with patient care and transport in a pre-hospital setting.  Base pay $25,803 - $35,533 DOE.

FLIGHT PARAMEDIC
(Helicopter Transport)

Responsible for the correct Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment or Basic Life Support (BLS) treatment, and safe efficient transportation of ill or injured persons to appropriate destinations by air ambulance and in some cases ground ambulance.  Complete or assist in completing full medical assessment of patients.  Certifications include: California EMT - Paramedic, CPR for the healthcare provider certificate, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider.

FLIGHT NURSE
(Helicopter Transport)

Similar to Flight Paramedic position but requires additional certifications and skills including CPR for the healthcare provider certificate, and Licensed Registered Nurse, California Board of Registered Nursing with two years of ICU/ER experience.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL DISPATCHER (EMD)
(Communications Specialist)

Receive and process requests for emergency service in a calm, accurate and timely manner.  Must be able to professionally handle high volume of emergency communications and have good working knowledge of emergency communications consoles and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.  Pay rate $12.15+/hr DOE.

MEDI-VAN/GURNEY VAN TRANSPORTATION
Drive wheelchair van and assist wheelchair patients to and from medical destinations.  Requires Class C drivers license with passenger endorsement.  Pay rate $10.16 - $17.10/hr DOE.
